Project Manager
Job Description
The Project Manager role is one of the most challenging positions at Brave River Solutions. It is a key role in managing the process of solving complex business problems. These individuals have a keen creative and or technical problem solving ability coupled with vision and strategy setting leadership skills. A strong understanding of team and client dynamics coupled with an ability to leverage skills to plan for detailed e-Business implementations. These individuals have the ability to control, communicate and manage projects in a dynamic environment. Key attributes of this position are project vision, business and technical strategy, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Drives the business solution architecture (concept, requirements, development, testing)
- Execute industry research and analysis of specified subject matter
- Work closely with end-users and project executive sponsors to identify and establish detailed requirements for custom applications or recommend benefit analysis for implementing a packaged offering
- Ensure that user requests are continuously tracked as a means of identifying common problems that may require a global solution
- Facilitate executive, end users, user, and technical sessions to develop a stronger understanding of the business problem to drive the end solution
- Assemble, assess and analyze client information and generate high-level business and system requirements documentation
- Leverage industry analysis, research information, third-party research services to define the best solution to client opportunities
- Work with project sponsors and core team members to understand and prioritize requirements, prioritizing functional requirements based on the teams criteria, highest value, meets business drivers and meets the executive drivers for the initiative
- Meets regularly with project team members to identify better ways to deploy technologies to meet business objectives or modify business processes to more effectively leverage technology offerings
- Accountable for project / program vision
- Able to adjust project deliverables to meet client objectives
- Define and tracks project deliverables
- Strong understand of scope management techniques
- Provides a comfortable environment for team brainstorming sessions to develop detailed requirements
- Develops high-level, mid-level, detailed-level project plans to meet client schedules
- Strong communication skills
Job Requirements
- Able to lead a team from where they are to where they have to be
- Project Managers should have a Bachelor's degree; possess strong analytical and conceptual skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and capable of collaborating with executive clients, external and internal teams
- Capable of working in a high-energy, unstructured teaming environment
- Experience in vertical industry is a plus; understanding of trends in e-Business and e-Commerce
- 1-2 years experience in supervising teams in multidisciplinary environment
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
- Understanding of web technologies and how to translate business needs to client value
- Proven leadership skills in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Strong design to create, innovate, teach and lead
