Brave River Solutions Completes Virtualization Project for Coto Technology

The Rhode Island IT support firm assisted Coto in updating their information technology systems.
Warwick, RI - May 29, 2015 - Brave River Solutions, an IT support services company located in Rhode Island, helped Coto Technology, the world leader in small signal switching solutions, upgrade and improve their IT systems in both their Mexico and Rhode Island offices.
Brave River, who has worked with Coto for many years, provided the support and expertise need for Coto to upgrade from a version of virtualization software that was no longer being supported by the manufacturer to a new, more current version of VMWare, for which Brave River will also provide ongoing support. The new VMWare version 5.5 will allow Coto to increase the efficiency of their physical IT resources.
In order to update Coto Technology’s infrastructure, other tasks performed by Brave River included the installation of 14 virtual servers, along with Cybernetics SAN, which stores images of the VMWare servers and backs-up all Coto’s data. V-motion technology was also utilized to protect data in the event that one of the servers goes down. Brave River worked with Coto both on-site at their US location and remotely for their facility in Mexico to deploy VMWare, improving uptime and server performance in both offices.
