Challenge
Dr. Cervenka was looking for assistance in moving his IT infrastructure, along with setting up new PCs and updating business software for improved business processes. This included fully automating each patient room to perform measurements and x-rays, and receive immediate feedback without leaving the patient room. They also wanted to outfit the office with Wi-Fi, so the patients could use the internet while waiting.
Results
Brave River was able to provide Dr. Cervenka with state-of-the-art technology for a dentist’s office. They had centralized management at their server, and a dedicated climate controlled server room. Brave River also provided Dr. Cervenka with a detailed network diagram of their infrastructure. Dr. Cervenka can now work in a more productive and efficient manner, in turn providing better service to their clients.
Solution
Brave River began by researching options to accomplish the goals outlined by Dr. Cervenka. We learned the dental software that was necessary, and improved its performance by installing it on the server. The printer, fax machine, and copier were all consolidated into one unit to provide the office with additional workable space.
New computers and monitors were prepped and tested in the Brave River office, then installed during off hours to reduce system downtime at Dr. Cervenka’s office. To provide for more stability, new wiring and equipment were also installed. Additionally, we:
- Reduced the cost for the work from a sole source vendor
- Created and updated infrastructure with minimum downtime
- Used the space available to create the right areas for the server and displays
