Brave River Solutions Lives United With UWRI Giving Program

The employees of the technology solutions company rallied together to contribute to United Way's programs benefiting Rhode Islanders in need.
Warwick, RI (January 7, 2009) - 2009 commenced with an act of giving at Brave River Solutions. The employees of the technology solutions company rallied together to contribute to the causes that Rhode Islanders care most about. The United Way of Rhode Island (UWRI) provided the means to do just that. Mary Jane Silva, Vice President of the Resource Development Department, visited their office located in Warwick, RI and educated the staff on exactly what it means to Live United. Her inspiring words along with the open minds of the employees led to an outpouring of support with 35% of the employees making donations.
"The UWRI demonstrates the immense impact one organization can have on a community. By directing their resources to causes that facilitate long-term, lasting changes, the lives of those in the community exponentially improve. We here at Brave River know how important these resources are to the community and we also know that they cannot exist without some kind of contribution whether that is through donations or volunteerism. Having the opportunity to participate in the Giving Campaign gave all of us a way to contribute" said Jim McAssey, Vice President of Brave River Solutions.
Without the support of companies and organizations it would be impossible to collect the resources necessary to meet Rhode Island's needs. Brave River was pleased they had the opportunity to contribute. This program improves the quality of life of those in the state, because of this impact Brave River plans to make this an annual occurrence. Brave River is pleased to have added this first annual UWRI Giving campaign to the many ways they give back to the community.
