The Rhode Island website design and development company releases a new, improved version of their proprietary CMS.

Warwick, RI – January 28, 2015 – Brave River Solutions (BRS), a website design firm located in Rhode Island, announces the release of an upgraded version of their content management system (CMS). Brave River’s CMS, used for all websites developed by BRS, has always allowed business owners and site administrators to easily update and manage their websites’ content without requiring a developer’s assistance. The latest version includes new functionality and an improved user interface, giving users the ability to control even more features than before.

“We listened to our clients’ feedback, and introduced some changes to best meet their needs and requests,” said Brave River’s President, Ernie Gaines. “We added some new features, such as blog-posting, as well as updated our existing functionality to make it faster, more intuitive, and inclusive of the latest technologies.”

One of the most considerable changes in the upgrade is an improved article manager, which can be used for blog-posting. The article manager now uses category tags and authorship tags, and it allows commenting and sharing on all posts. As with most blog-posts engines, Brave River’s system features an integrated “captcha” code in the comments form to help reduce spam, as well as an option to require administrator approval before displaying new comments.

Additional updates include conversion to ASP.net 4, multiple page layout styles for administrators to switch between, a more intuitive user interface, secure self-service password reset (SSPR), content search, an easier to navigate tree-view for parent pages, article archiving by date, content category tags, RSS feed options, and improved article and content filtering.

“We recently made the switch to a responsive design website and included the Content Management System upgrade,” said Joe Donnellan, Marketing Manager at Crystal Travel & Tours. “The new system is a huge improvement to me. Right from the log in screen, it is sleeker and more organized. It addresses any issues I had previously – along with some I didn’t know I had – and adds in all kinds of cool, new features that I am still discovering. Since I started using the new CMS I have been trying to think of other improvements that I wish had been made with this upgrade, but I can’t.”

The newly upgraded CMS from Brave River Solutions is available to existing clients, and will be included in new Brave River website projects.
