Project Manager / Business Analyst

A Brave River Solutions Project Manager oversees a variety of Business Technology Projects for our clients. Projects range from informational websites to customization and launch of eCommerce systems, to custom design and development of business applications.

Overview

Under general supervision, oversee various system projects. Responsible for assembling the project team, assigning individual responsibilities, and developing and managing the project plan to ensure an on-time, under-budget completion of project. 

Must be able to translate business requirements and project objectives into an actionable project plan, user stories and work items. The PM/BA coordinates activities across the teams (designers and developers), monitors project progress toward objectives and plan, and actively participates in QA testing. 

A thorough understanding and experience with the custom software development life cycle from requirements definition through QA (preferably in an Agile environment) is required. Experience with Website/eCommerce Development, software platform implementations, IT Infrastructure Project Management, or Business Process Reviews is a plus. 

The PM/BA will communicate with the Director of Client Services, and client Project Manager regarding status of projects relative to timeline and budget. The PM/BA must be able to develop and manage a living project plan, identify changes in scope, and communicate impact on timeline and budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Client to define and manage projects and the ongoing client relationship
  • Ability to work/manaage multiple projects at the same time
  • Gather business requirements
  • Develop detailed business requirements documents (for both sales proposals and project documentation)
  • Collaborate with Development Teams on Technical architecture, technical requirements, and project/task estimates
  • Experience managing off-shore development teams is a plus
  • Create a task list and project plan using Azure DevOps or Jira
  • Collaborate with Sr. Developers on technical architecture
  • Conduct weekly/biweekly status meetings with clients and development teams
  • Develop a test plan and conduct formal QA before passing site/system to the Client for project acceptance

Position Requirements:

The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in project management and business analysis. In addition, the PM/BA will have experience in some/all of the following skills in a similar software development environment:

  • Custom Software Development/eCommerce development
  • Detailed business requirements documentation
  • Project planning/execution with Azure DevOps or Jira
  • Project Estimating
  • Technical system architecture (web and database components)
  • Graphical design/UI/UX
  • Knowledge of Database components
  • Customer interaction in a consulting environment
  • Experience with Reporting Tools
  • Experience implementing solutions for clients using other platfroms (e-commerce, CMS, etc.)
  • Structuring test plans and executing formal QA testing
  • Collaborating and working with developer teams
  • Internet Marketing (SEO, SEA, Social Media)
  • Oversee IT infrastructure projects & initiatives
