Brave River Solutions helps SpecPage facilitate the connection between food service operators and their local distributors through Anything4Restaurants.com.
Warwick, RI – September 5, 2012 – SpecPage, the leading source of product marketing information and online catalogs for the food service and janitorial/sanitation (jan/san) industries, asked Brave River Solutions to custom program a new website tool, called Find a Distributor, for Anything4Restaurants.com (A4R).
Find a Distributor is a directory search feature that is included on all of the product webpages of Anything4Restaurants.com. When viewing a product, from paper towels to a DoughMate® artisan dough tray, food service operators can find nearby distributors of that product simply by clicking the “Find Distributor” button. After entering their zip code or selecting a state, A4R users are delivered to a results page, displaying their local distributors.
“Local searches account for over 20% of all search engine requests. So, this type of feature makes perfect sense for a site like A4R, where we are trying to connect restaurateurs and food service buyers with sources of products in their area”, said Jim McAssey, Brave River Solutions’ Vice President.
Now, just 2 months after the feature’s launch, many of these results pages are achieving top search engine rankings for search terms that include the product name, “distributor,” and a state. This achievement will drive targeted web search traffic to distributors’ product level information on the A4R site. With most web traffic being driven by search engines, high rankings on these keywords are expected to increase traffic and provide a greater marketing value for suppliers and distributors listed with A4R.
